Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Remaining upright on feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
- Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts
- Availability to work flexible weekday shifts and every weekend
- Willingness to support pharmacy and other department needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in retail or customer service setting
- Ability to provide compassionate and customer-focused service
- Comfort with handling cash and performing cashier functions
- Willingness to assist in multiple store departments
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care in all interactions, actively identify and resolve potential service issues
- Give a warm and friendly greeting, maintain eye contact, offer help locating additional items
- Accurately perform cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, completing inventory management tasks as directed
- Support opening and closing store activities when needed
- Provide customer support to all departments including photo and beauty, ensure departments are fully stocked and operational, stay current with updated services and tools
- Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as growth opportunities
- Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company’s health purpose
