Job Requirements
- Meet any state or local licensure or legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports and information
- Ability to act in accordance with company policy
- Ability to climb ladders as needed
- Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely including lifting items up to 44 pounds
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Reliable, prompt and regular attendance necessary
Job Qualifications
- Previous retail or security experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to manage conflict, lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Manage a security culture, including crisis response, safety environment and crowd management planning
- Execute strategic AP strategies and goals and deliver results through your team
- Identify and develop strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and apprehend individuals attempting to cause a loss in accordance with Target policy
- Conduct internal and external investigations, from identification through resolution
- Recruit, select, retain, develop and manage talent of hourly team members and leaders
- Partner with store leaders regarding team member performance by teaching, coaching, training and delivering timely performance feedback
- Lead merchandise protection strategies including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices
- Support store safety culture through modeling safe behaviors, identifying hazards and assisting with incident response
- Educate store leaders and teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures
