Job Requirements

  • Meet any state or local licensure and/or legal requirements related to the position
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Act in accordance with company policy
  • Climb ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 44 pounds
  • Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
  • Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable, prompt and regular attendance necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or security experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to manage conflict and hold others accountable
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology
  • Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to relate well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

Job Duties

  • Manage a security culture including crisis response, safety environment and crowd management planning
  • Execute strategic AP strategies and goals and deliver results through your team
  • Identify and develop resolutions of external theft and fraud and apprehend individuals causing loss in accordance with Target policy
  • Conduct internal and external investigations from identification through resolution
  • Recruit, select, retain, develop and manage talent of hourly team members and leaders
  • Provide new ideas and recommend solutions to business or team opportunities
  • Participate actively in internship program training, development activities and events
