Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in mathematics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in animal care and welfare
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • Be responsible for the maintenance and inventory across the entire Pet Care Center
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed to create a great presentation for guests
  • Process register transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest
  • Be proficient within the selling model and support guest interactions as needed
  • Have a strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures to maintain pet health
  • Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise in the role
  • Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration
  • Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed
  • Utilize selling behaviors to provide an amazing guest experience
  • Contribute to a safe environment by following safety protocols
  • Be a part of a collaborative culture centered on pet health and wellness
  • Engage in career development programs for skill growth
