Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • ability to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and communication
  • strong interest in animal welfare
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate cash register and handle transactions
  • physical ability to bend, kneel, move merchandise up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • adherence to operational guidelines and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships
  • exceptional communication skills
  • keen and genuine interest in animals and their care

Job Duties

  • Be responsible for the maintenance and inventory across the entire Pet Care Center
  • ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed to create a great presentation for our guests
  • process register transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest
  • be proficient within our selling model and support guest interactions as needed
  • have a strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures to maintain pet health
  • complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise of their role
  • promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration
  • adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • complete other duties and special projects as assigned
  • evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed
  • utilize selling behaviors to identify and solve guest needs
  • contribute to a safe environment by maintaining safety protocols
  • be a part of a collaborative culture focused on pet health and wellness needs
  • engage in career development through training and growth opportunities
