Job Requirements
- Partial high school education
- Ability to complete ServSafe certification
- Knowledge of culinary terms and practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 60 lbs
- Ability to withstand temperature extremes
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Valid license to operate trucks and golf carts
- Ability to work in wet and slippery conditions
- Physical presence at job site
Job Qualifications
- Partial high school education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Possess or able to successfully complete ServSafe certification
- Strong sanitation skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn culinary terms and practices
- Ability to prepare basic items by following recipes
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
Job Duties
- Receive documentation and goods from warehouse
- Assist with end of month inventories
- Date product and rotate according to food handling process
- Assist in setting up and maintaining storage standards
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all refrigerator walk-in areas
- Notify the Unit Manager of unusual events, safety or quality issues
- Take temperatures at regular intervals and maintain food quantities while minimizing waste
- Assist in maintaining kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedule
- Deliver products from lower storage to main kitchen
- Ensure recycling program is followed in the department
- Adhere to food safety guidelines including ServSafe and HACCP
- Attend and participate in safety meetings
- Perform other related duties as directed or required
