Job Requirements

  • Partial high school education
  • Ability to complete ServSafe certification
  • Knowledge of culinary terms and practices
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to withstand temperature extremes
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Valid license to operate trucks and golf carts
  • Ability to work in wet and slippery conditions
  • Physical presence at job site

Job Qualifications

  • Partial high school education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Possess or able to successfully complete ServSafe certification
  • Strong sanitation skills
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn culinary terms and practices
  • Ability to prepare basic items by following recipes
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Receive documentation and goods from warehouse
  • Assist with end of month inventories
  • Date product and rotate according to food handling process
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining storage standards
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all refrigerator walk-in areas
  • Notify the Unit Manager of unusual events, safety or quality issues
  • Take temperatures at regular intervals and maintain food quantities while minimizing waste
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedule
  • Deliver products from lower storage to main kitchen
  • Ensure recycling program is followed in the department
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines including ServSafe and HACCP
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings
  • Perform other related duties as directed or required
