Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three months related experience or training
  • serve safe certification
  • physical ability to lift and move weights from 10 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to follow detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • ability to perform basic math operations

Job Duties

  • physically check in all food related items
  • ensure proper weight, specifications, quantity and quality of deliveries
  • safely handle food to maintain sanitary codes
  • check refrigerated and storage areas daily for proper rotation and storage
  • place all items in proper locations and rotate stock
  • assist in monthly inventory, physical count and organization of food areas
  • notify Purchasing Manager of any major delivery discrepancies
  • maintain cleanliness of storage areas
  • store refrigerated and frozen foods promptly
  • communicate courteously with members, co-workers, and management
  • conform with all regulations, policies and instructions
  • perform other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager and Executive Chef
