Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen/restaurant experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- able to stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb and balance for extended periods
- must have good vision and finger dexterity
- flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- minimum age of 18 years
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen/restaurant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
- knowledgeable and proficient in stewarding equipment, chemicals, and techniques
- understanding of OSHA and safety standards
- ability to complete complex tasks and follow instructions
- strong decision-making, precision working, memorization, and influencing skills
- flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- minimum age of 18 years
Job Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchens
- sanitize stoves/ovens, grills, hoods, steam tables, dishwashing machines, walls, floors in kitchen, dining and restroom areas
- use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
- change oil in deep fryer, clean fryer and replace oil
- maintain inventory of supplies needed for stewarding department
- keep all equipment and supplies organized
- operate and maintain dish machines, glass machines, floor scrubbers and burnishing machines
- clean floors, mats, and drains using mops, brooms, scrapers, scrubbers, and chemicals
- remove dirty dishes from cooks line and restock with clean dishes
- report maintenance issues and inform supervisors of faulty or broken equipment
- perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
