Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen/restaurant experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • able to stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb and balance for extended periods
  • must have good vision and finger dexterity
  • flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • minimum age of 18 years

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen/restaurant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
  • knowledgeable and proficient in stewarding equipment, chemicals, and techniques
  • understanding of OSHA and safety standards
  • ability to complete complex tasks and follow instructions
  • strong decision-making, precision working, memorization, and influencing skills
  • flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • minimum age of 18 years

Job Duties

  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchens
  • sanitize stoves/ovens, grills, hoods, steam tables, dishwashing machines, walls, floors in kitchen, dining and restroom areas
  • use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
  • change oil in deep fryer, clean fryer and replace oil
  • maintain inventory of supplies needed for stewarding department
  • keep all equipment and supplies organized
  • operate and maintain dish machines, glass machines, floor scrubbers and burnishing machines
  • clean floors, mats, and drains using mops, brooms, scrapers, scrubbers, and chemicals
  • remove dirty dishes from cooks line and restock with clean dishes
  • report maintenance issues and inform supervisors of faulty or broken equipment
  • perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
