Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in stewarding or environmental services in kitchen or restaurant setting
- Ability to communicate oral and written English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must follow OSHA regulations for chemical use and sanitation
- Ability to stand, reach, climb, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, lift, push, and pull for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in stewarding or environmental services in a kitchen or restaurant setting
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies
- Ability to provide clear direction and guidance
- Strong communication skills with ability to respond professionally to guest inquiries
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to communicate oral and written English
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens within the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino
- Sanitize stoves, ovens, grills, hoods, steam tables, dishwashing machines, walls, floors, kitchen, dining and restroom areas
- Inform supervisor if equipment is faulty or broken
- Use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
- Change oil in deep fryer and clean fryer
- Maintain inventory of supplies for stewarding department
- Operate and maintain dish machines, glass machines, floor scrubbers and burnishing machines
- Clean floors, mats and drains using appropriate tools and chemicals
- Remove dirty dishes from cooks line and restock with clean dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of employee bathrooms
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
