Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in high-end golf or country club or hospitality industry is a plus
  • Prior experience in kitchen, dishwashing, or porter roles preferred but not required
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and meet driver safety policy requirements
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Commitment to upholding Bluejack appearance and grooming standards including polished, conservative presentation
  • Willingness to assist with other roles or tasks as needed
  • Strong commitment to Bluejack's mission and cultural beliefs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in stewarding or kitchen operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP guidelines, and safety procedures in food service operations
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with culinary, service, and management teams
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise, train, and motivate the stewarding team to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in kitchen, dishwashing, and storage areas
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations including proper handling and storage of equipment, utensils, and chemicals
  • Coordinate and monitor daily cleaning schedules to meet operational standards before, during, and after service
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, reporting malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, dishware, and small wares ensuring adequate stock and cost-effective usage
  • Collaborate with culinary and food and beverage leadership to support smooth service operations and special events
  • Conduct training on cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and dish-handling procedures
  • Assist in planning and implementing deep-cleaning projects and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a professional, positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting club standards
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership
