Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in high quality, high volume establishments
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation, and proper chemical usage
  • Ability to supervise and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff
  • Understanding of fire procedures and HACCP standards

  • Knowledge of statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
  • Effective supervisory and communication skills
  • Well organized with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with staff
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in high quality, high volume establishments

Job Duties

  • Write daily task lists for lead stewards in designated areas
  • Check all back of house food and beverage areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality
  • Implement cleaning schedules and training in conjunction with the Assistant Executive Steward
  • Check all operating equipment on a daily basis
  • Communicate maintenance issues and employee or contractor concerns to the Executive Assistant Steward
  • Control breakage and waste
  • Assign work for efficient use of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with company and departmental rules, policies, and procedures by all stewarding personnel
  • Ensure safety equipment is used for appropriate tasks
  • Plan, manage, and monitor work while coaching staff and building professional relationships
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
