Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in the cleaning service industry
  • minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • preferably in the food industry
  • ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted
  • ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, pushing and pulling
  • ability to read and comprehend function sheets and pull lists
  • availability to work flexible schedules seven days a week
  • ability to maintain professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
  • must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in the cleaning service industry
  • at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • preferred experience in the food industry
  • ability to read and interpret function and pull sheets
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership and teamwork abilities
  • ability to perform simple math calculations
  • ability to read, speak and write fluently in English
  • bilingual preferred
  • knowledge of health and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensure the timely completion of all stewarding duties
  • clean and sanitize all catering areas including kitchens and dining spaces
  • clean floors and floor drains in kitchen and bakeshop areas
  • maintain floors in main kitchen hallways
  • clean cooking equipment and serving carts
  • prepare beverages such as coffee, punch and iced tea
  • execute timely delivery of food items based on function or pull sheets
  • oversee accurate execution and delivery of pull sheets
  • monitor and maintain waste and recycling bins
  • schedule union stewards and assess staffing needs
  • train newly hired stewards on procedures and policies
  • supervise and monitor steward work duties and breaks
  • interpret function sheets for stewarding responsibilities
  • conduct shift start and end walk-throughs
  • assist in inventory of china and equipment
  • schedule maintenance for kitchen equipment
  • ensure compliance with State Health Department sanitation guidelines
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas
  • handle emergency situations within company guidelines
  • maintain professional and courteous interactions with staff, clients, and guests
