Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related field
- or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 2 years experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- ability to supervise kitchen employees and manage daily operations
- knowledge of food handling and sanitation requirements
- ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
- capacity to train and motivate team members
- understanding of inventory and budget management
- flexibility to work full time and on site at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience

- strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills

- experience with banquet and catering operations
Job Duties
- Supervises daily kitchen utility operations
- manages dish room, night cleaning, and back dock cleaning
- coordinates banquet plating and food running
- orders supplies and manages inventory
- schedules events and work shifts for kitchen utility staff
- ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- trains staff in procedures and equipment use
- monitors employee productivity and performance
- participates in recruiting, hiring, and performance appraisals
- maintains communication with executives and peers
- inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas for quality
- manages department budgets and controllable expenses
- interacts with vendors and Health Department representatives
- empowers employees to provide excellent guest service
