Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Capability to climb ladders, squat, kneel, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and fold/unfold
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Effective communication skills including talking, hearing, and sufficient visual acuity
- Attendance according to weekly schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Sommelier certification or coursework in wine knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food and beverage with specific wine service training preferred
- Completion of Invited's food and beverage service training program preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with team members
Job Duties
- Provide expert wine recommendations and service to members and guests, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the wine list including characteristics, pairings, and specials
- Ensure proper storage, serving, and presentation of wines following industry standards and club guidelines
- Greet members and guests warmly to create an inviting atmosphere
- Assist members and guests in selecting wines that complement their meals and preferences
- Handle wine-related complaints promptly and effectively
- Maintain and organize wine inventory ensuring proper stock rotation
- Complete daily assignments and side work including cleaning and stocking wine-related equipment
- Assist with setup and breakdown of wine service areas for events and special functions
- Support team members by assisting with additional tasks as assigned
- Follow company, club, and department policies and maintain professionalism
- Adhere to safe working practices and compliance with safety guidelines
- Pursue personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications
- Address operational challenges by collaborating with regional and corporate teams
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in team activities
- Wear a clean, neat uniform meeting club standards
