Job Requirements

  • Sommelier certification or coursework in wine knowledge
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, folding/unfolding as needed
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Effective communication skills including talking, hearing, and visual acuity
  • Ability to work additional hours including weekends and holidays
  • Attendance requirements as outlined on the weekly schedule

Job Qualifications

  • Sommelier certification or coursework in wine knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage with wine service experience preferred
  • Completion of Invited's F&B Service Training program preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with team members

Job Duties

  • Provide expert wine recommendations and service to members and guests
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the wine list, including wine characteristics, pairings, and daily features or specials
  • Ensure that wines are stored, served, and presented according to industry standards and club guidelines
  • Greet members and guests with a warm and knowledgeable approach
  • Assist members and guests with selecting wines matching their preferences and complementing their meals
  • Handle wine-related complaints or issues with prompt and effective service recovery
  • Maintain and organize wine inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation
  • Complete daily assignments and side work related to wine service
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of wine service areas for events and special functions
  • Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies and procedures
  • Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence in interactions
  • Follow safe working practices and promote safety compliance
  • Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications
  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources
  • Attend daily briefings and engage in team activities
  • Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards
