Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year previous experience in back-of-the-house food-service position preferred
- High school education desired
- Participation or enrollment in culinary program preferred
- Familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to handle or operate dangerous kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, squatting, pushing and pulling
Job Qualifications
- High school education desired
- Participation or enrollment in a culinary program preferred

- Familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
- Skilled in sanitation and food safety procedures
Job Duties
- Aid in the supervision and observation of performance for the dishwashers and porters under the direction of the Sous Chef
- Ensure food items and kitchen utensils are prepared according to Delaware North standards of quality, consistency and timeliness
- Maintain and enforce sanitation procedures and organization of work area
- Utilize and sanitize kitchen equipment for the preparation of food items such as knives, slicers, whisks, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
- Perform opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
- Ensure workstation and equipment is clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Meet all health department standards for safe food handling and operate equipment safely determined by position and OSHA regulations
