Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical school culinary education and training
- extensive experience managing production of food for catering functions and retail or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ServSafe Certified
- LEAD or ServeSMART Certified
- ability to work a varied and flexible shift
- ability to comply and implement all standard operating procedures
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- excellent communication and inter-personal skills

- ability to calculate food quantities needed and basic math skills
- physical ability to lift 25 lbs

Job Duties
- Assigns stewards and other team members to activities such as dishwashing, ware washing, and kitchen equipment cleanup
- completes quarterly inventories of china, silverware, glassware, small wares, and equipment with updated records
- reports shortages and requisitions replacements of equipment
- pulls kitchen equipment as needed for banquets and catered events
- works with banquet steward on pulling, delivering, running, and bussing special events
- inspects kitchen, workrooms, machinery, tools, and equipment for cleanliness and organization
- assumes responsibility for kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
