Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a similar stewarding or kitchen support role is advantageous
- Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items consistently
- Strong physical stamina for extended periods of active work
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work cooperatively with a team
- Willingness to comply with all safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of service ware maintenance to enhance guest experience
- Ability to push or pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to transport heavy objects safely in crowded environments with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or move goods weighing up to 200 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences including supervisors, coworkers, and the public
Job Duties
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly
- Quickly wash all ware and replace in storage areas as designated
- Maintain physical strength and stamina to support high activity levels
- Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards
- Operate burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware
- De-tarnish and polish silverware for proper appearance
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
- Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
