Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Requires good communication skills
  • Must possess basic computational ability
  • Basic knowledge and awareness of proper handling procedures for items used in the venue
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 pounds
  • Physical stamina to work in temperatures ranging from -10°F to +110°F
  • Ability to maneuver a limited space promptly
  • Manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and visual acuity
  • Capacity to communicate and coordinate with guests and staff
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • No prior experience required
  • Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and hourly staff
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
  • Stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Clean, transport, and store all pots, pans, utensils, and tableware used in food and beverage operations efficiently and properly
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture of BHC and Sorelle
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized work stations that align with the restaurant's philosophy and standards of excellence
  • Recognize or seek areas for staff and restaurant improvement and offer positive solutions for change
  • Operate daily within the restaurant with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative
  • Understand and implement all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs
  • Represent the restaurant professionally through effective communication, cooperation, and relationships with business partners
  • Assist culinary staff during special requests or priorities as directed by the executive and sous chefs
  • Assist culinary staff in ensuring all food preparation areas and equipment are clean and sanitized daily
  • Fulfill required daily cleaning of kitchen and equipment after hours
