Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a steward or similar cleaning role in a hospitality environment preferred
  • knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
  • ability to operate industrial dishwashing equipment
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Job Duties

  • ensure dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
  • clean kitchen tools, cooking equipment, countertops, and food prep areas
  • manage the disposal of trash and food waste according to local regulations
  • ensure kitchen and dining areas are well-stocked with cleaning supplies
  • organize and store kitchen equipment and utensils properly
  • assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables and washing produce
  • maintain hygiene standards including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and utensils after every use
