Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in a steward or similar cleaning role in a hospitality environment preferred
knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
ability to operate industrial dishwashing equipment
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
good communication skills
ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Job Duties

ensure dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
clean kitchen tools, cooking equipment, countertops, and food prep areas
manage the disposal of trash and food waste according to local regulations
ensure kitchen and dining areas are well-stocked with cleaning supplies
organize and store kitchen equipment and utensils properly
assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables and washing produce
maintain hygiene standards including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and utensils after every use
