Job Requirements

  • understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel
  • ability to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision

  • ability to speak, understand, and communicate in the primary workplace language(s)
  • physical ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs regularly
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
  • adherence to safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment and chemical safety protocols
  • tolerance to moderate to loud noise common in busy kitchen environments

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage operations is beneficial
  • ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards
  • ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely
  • basic organizational and multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • clean, transport, and store all pots and pans, dining ware, silverware, and glasses used in food and beverage operations
  • oversee proper storage of all glassware and dining ware
  • ensure all cleaning equipment and machines are in proper working order
  • maintain kitchen compliance with hotel cleanliness standards
  • set up and organize the dishwashing area
  • operate all assigned equipment safely
  • clean and sanitize all China, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots, and pans
  • take inventories of China, silverware, and glassware
  • ensure restaurant and banquet kitchens are well-stocked with requisite items
  • maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables, and floors
  • follow all food safety, cleanliness, and chemical safety standards
  • carry out supervisor requests per hotel policies and procedures
  • follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards
  • adhere to attendance and reliability standards
  • work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team
  • perform additional cleanliness or guest service duties as assigned by management
