Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in food service or housekeeping preferred
- Valid Food Handlers Permit accredited by Texas Department of State Health Services or ANSI
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English necessary for job performance
- Ability to follow departmental policies and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and dishwashing tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of experience in food service or housekeeping preferred
- Valid Food Handlers Permit approved by TXDSHS or ANSI
- Proficient in English communication
- Knowledge of Serve Safe guidelines and health department standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, family, and coworkers
- Demonstrated skills to safely perform job duties
Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks in the central kitchen dish room and patient tray line
- Wash and sanitize equipment, patient tray components, dishes, and pots
- Assemble patient trays accurately and efficiently
- Transport clean and dirty trays, food carts, trash, garbage, and recyclables to designated areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols according to health department guidelines
- Communicate safety hazards and maintenance needs promptly to management
- Assist in other food and nutrition service areas as assigned
