Job Requirements

Must be able to stand and move continuously for up to four hours or longer
must communicate effectively and listen attentively
must be able to lift and carry items weighing between 50 and 100 pounds
must tolerate exposure to wet floors, temperature extremes, smoke, dust, and loud noise
reliable attendance and punctuality
adherence to safety standards and procedures
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen cleaning is an asset
ability to follow instructions and work independently
good communication skills
knowledge of sanitation and hygiene standards
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
physical stamina to perform demanding tasks

Job Duties

Reports to work on time and is on the dishwashing station as scheduled
ensures uniform cleanliness and practices positive personal hygiene
cleans front of house areas as assigned including floors, bar floors/mats, windows, trashcans, and restrooms
performs routine maintenance and thorough cleaning of dish machine including arms, screens, and baskets
checks dish machine operation and reports defects immediately
washes, stores, and stocks all plateware, glassware, and utensils ensuring sufficient quantities
monitors water temperature and changes water according to specifications
removes trash regularly and sanitizes trash cans
replaces full linen bags throughout the shift
assists in spot cleaning floors, carpeting, walls, and furnishings
assists with storing food, equipment, supplies, and stock items
maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area including countertops and refrigeration units
adheres to safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions
completes station closing duties and assists kitchen staff with cleanliness tasks
