Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • ability to work weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and operate cleaning equipment safely

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, floors, and walls
  • empty and clean trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
  • assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition
  • report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager
  • ensure proper storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • assist kitchen staff with food preparation and organization as needed
  • help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations
  • support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
  • adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
  • follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure sanitary conditions
  • assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed
  • keep track of supplies and report shortages to the kitchen manager
