Job Requirements

  • ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
  • ability to wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • ability to receive deliveries and properly store perishables
  • ability to use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in a 3-compartment sink
  • ability to inspect cleaned items and send soiled items back for re-cleaning
  • physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dish washing machine and hand wash stations
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
  • use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
  • inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
  • rack and spray all racked items with hot water to remove food residue
  • sort, soak, and wash or re-wash silverware
  • breakdown dirty bus tubs
  • empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
  • clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • dispose of glass properly
  • break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in recycle bin
  • follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • protect company assets
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team to reach common goals
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • reach overhead and below knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • perform other job duties as requested by supervisors
