- ability to work under demanding and strenuous conditions
- familiarity with health and safety regulations
- capacity to follow instructions and perform duties promptly
- willingness to take on various tasks as assigned
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a steward or kitchen clean-up role preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to follow health and safety protocols
- strong work ethic and reliability
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- good physical stamina and ability to handle strenuous tasks
Job Duties
- Obtains service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
- ensure that all cooking utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas
- ensure that kitchen work areas are kept clean and tidy, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal and other functions as requested
- ensure that the correct chemicals are used as part of dishwashing duties
- maintain a clean work area
- ability to work under demanding and strenuous situations
- comply with all health and safety functions
- perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
- provide lateral service on occasion
- perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional service
