Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines, hand washing stations, pot washing stations and trash compactors
- wash and sanitize kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries, properly store perishable products and rotate stock
- ensure clean dishes are stored in appropriate areas
- use chemical detergents, sanitizers and rinses in a three-compartment sink to wash dishes
- inspect, remove and stack clean articles, and return dirty items for re-washing
- place items on racks and apply hot water spray to loosen and remove food residue
- sort, soak and wash/rewash cutlery
- sort and separate containers for dirty items
- empty trash bins and maintain trash storage area
- clean and mop all assigned departmental areas
- dispose of glass in appropriate containers
- break down cardboard boxes and other recyclables and place in recycling containers
- obey company safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries and hazardous work conditions to manager, complete safety trainings and certifications
- protect company property
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
- meet quality expectations and standards
- move, lift, transport, push, pull and place without assistance objects up to 50 pounds
- stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
- reach above head and below knees including bending, twisting, dragging and stooping
- perform other reasonable work tasks requested by supervisors
