Operating along the lower Mississippi River between Southwest Pass and Baton Rouge, the company facilitates the safe and efficient handling and movement of cargo throughout the extensive U.S. inland waterway system. Known for its stability and high ethical standards in the industry, Cooper Consolidated prides itself on delivering reliable cargo transportation solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The company’s operations are supported by a dedicated team of experts committed to ensuring that cargo reaches its destination in a worry-free manner and in optimal condition. With a strategic location and comprehensive services, Cooper Consolidated has positioned itself as a leader in the cargo handling industry.

At Cooper Consolidated, the cornerstone of success lies in the exceptional people who drive the company forward. The unique culture is embodied in the "CC Way," a set of 28 principles that define the company’s high-performing culture. These principles outline the values, behaviors, and best practices that foster teamwork, accountability, and leadership—qualities that have contributed significantly to the company’s industry leadership. Cooper Consolidated offers an inclusive work environment where every employee’s contribution is valued and encouraged.

The opportunity at hand is for a Stevedoring Operations Supervisor, a critical role responsible for overseeing and directing the staff involved in stevedoring activities, such as loading and unloading barges and sea-going vessels. Additional duties involve managing staffing levels to meet workload demands, overseeing inventory and equipment maintenance, and ensuring housekeeping standards are upheld in all operational areas. Timely and accurate completion of documentation, including safety correspondence, daily logs, and payroll, is essential. The role also includes customer interaction and collaboration with management on personnel development activities such as training, corrective actions, and performance evaluations. Offering a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $74,000 annually, Cooper Consolidated provides a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with company matching, health and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off, among other perks. This role is vital for anyone seeking a meaningful career in the stevedoring industry with room for growth and professional development.
