Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen
- Three years of management experience
- Prior experience in a steakhouse
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Basic understanding of cost control and inventory management
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Three years of progressive culinary experience
- Three years of management experience
- Prior steakhouse experience
- Basic knowledge of profit and loss statements, labor control, and recipe costing
- Experience with sushi preparation preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and quality control
- Manage kitchen costs and inventory including labor, supplies, and waste minimization
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety practices
- Train, mentor, and motivate culinary team members
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional food quality and guest experiences
- Collaborate with management to improve kitchen efficiency and workflow
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development
