Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar position
- must have thorough knowledge of cooking techniques, menus, and recipes for assigned cuisine or style
- must be able to stand for most of the shift
- physical demands include grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling
- must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- must be able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications

Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to established recipes and standards personally and alongside staff
- supervise and direct the work of kitchen staff in assigned specialty restaurant
- handle personnel matters including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, evaluating, promoting, counseling, and discharging
- requisition stock according to business needs
- ensure all food products meet quality standards and are properly stored and rotated
- maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen, storage, and related areas
- resolve customer complaints about food quality or preparation promptly and appropriately
