Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Internal candidates must meet eligibility requirements as per transfer and promotion policy
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain required work and alcohol awareness cards
  • Must pass background checks
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and coworkers
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma preferred
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months and meet transfer and promotion policy eligibility requirements
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to obtain required work cards, alcohol awareness cards, and non-gaming registration as required by local jurisdiction
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass any required background checks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with reservation and point of sale computer systems
  • Ability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest in accordance with sequence of service standards and offer their name and assistance upon guests arrival
  • Engage all guests with a consistently friendly and upbeat personality and strive to establish rapport with patrons
  • Work collaboratively with all room staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience and proper flow of dining room and bar
  • Report any excessive delay in seating guests or potential guest opportunities to room manager
  • Utilize all reservation tools effectively, accurately record reservations and cancellations, update room manager of expected reservation counts
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls in a timely and friendly manner and provide appropriate service
  • Be knowledgeable of all menus, promotions, specials, and entertainment offerings and respond to guest inquiries
  • Monitor reservation and waiting list and inform guests of expected seating times
  • Enter guests names into the computer system, show guests to their table, and introduce serving staff
  • Demonstrate ability to carry out natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests in a friendly and professional manner and seek room manager assistance as necessary
  • Bid all departing guests a fond farewell and invite them back
  • Demonstrate skills in guest recovery and request management assistance as needed
  • Utilize all opening and closing checklists effectively and carry out duties in accordance with room standards
  • Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings
  • Consistently use all bar and restaurant equipment, cleaning and sanitizing products according to MSDS and departmental standards
  • Provide BIG Service to internal and external guests ensuring complete satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests and vendors
  • Ensure work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
  • Work safely following company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain professionalism and friendly, approachable demeanor throughout the workday
  • Assist with training and mentoring of new team members as requested
  • Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with uniform and appearance guidelines
  • Inform manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations
  • Keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and fast-paced environment
  • Be honest in all interactions and display a high degree of integrity
  • Work independently with little supervision or as part of a team
  • Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations
