Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age at time of application
- able to obtain Alcohol Awareness Certification
- reliable and punctual
- able to stand for extended periods
- able to communicate effectively in English
- willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physically able to handle the demands of the job
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or hospitality advantageous
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- customer service orientation
- ability to use point of sale systems
- basic understanding of casino gaming promotions is a plus
Job Duties
- greet guests as they are seated by introducing oneself and informing them of serving responsibilities
- answer guests' questions about menu items and specials
- make choice suggestions or recommendations upon request
- write up guests' food and beverage orders and transmit orders to kitchen and staff
- ensure timely delivery of ordered items and coordinate meal preparation with kitchen
- observe diners during the meal to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional service needs
- provide timely presentation of the bill when guests complete their meal
- respond to guest questions using the Quick Reference Guide
- provide information about casino gaming promotions, special events, and other programs
- respond to public inquiries courteously within area of assignment
