Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of prior relevant experience required
- Experience in passenger handling and service delivery
- Management experience with station operations in railroad, airline or hospitality industry
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer software related to the field
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and labor agreements
- Willingness to work onsite 4 to 5 days per week
- Ability to travel up to 25 percent
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with passenger handling and service delivery
- Management experience in station operations within railroad, airline, or hospitality industries
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability managing contracts related to station operations preferred
- Demonstrated leadership managing diverse teams and innovative management skills
- Experience managing departmental operating budgets preferred
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and Amtrak labor agreements
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct station service operations to provide the highest level of passenger satisfaction
- Manage and monitor passenger interaction and entraining/detraining processes to ensure safety and on-time performance
- Enforce staff compliance with corporate policies on customer service, safety, security, accounting, and grooming standards
- Adhere to training, performance measurement, counseling, discipline, and reward processes for station employees
- Serve as liaison with various departments to coordinate resolution of service and operational issues including delays and equipment problems
- Manage contracts and facility maintenance coordination with engineering and external entities as applicable
- Handle service disruptions calmly, including re-accommodations for hotels, buses, special needs, and unaccompanied minors
- Oversee station employee audits and remittance compliance to protect revenue
- Promote professional relationships with agencies, labor organizations, and contractors to support corporate goals
- Implement departmental safety plans to reduce injuries
- Demonstrate proven leadership and extensive computer skills
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory and labor agreements related to station operations
