Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to work evenings and weekends including Saturday availability
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- availability during winter break for students
- basic computer skills for reservation and point of sale systems

Job Duties
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups
- Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction, always strives to exceed guests' expectations
- Takes names on a waiting list
- Runs the floor plan board
- Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
- Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
- Responsible for distribution of parking vouchers and monitoring coat check
- Cleans and organizes the host closet
- Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area
- Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant
- Answers phone and takes orders pertaining to room service
- Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience
- Maintains restrooms throughout shift
- Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently
- Keeps windows and wine wall clean
- Maintains and updates the information wall
- Performs other duties as directed
