Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a pastry cook or similar kitchen role preferred
  • ability to follow recipes and directions accurately
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • experience in pastry preparation or a similar culinary role
  • knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • good communication skills
  • attention to detail and organizational skills
  • adaptability in fast-paced kitchen settings
  • basic knowledge of recipe conversions

Job Duties

  • execute the Executive Pastry Chef's pastry, dessert, and bread recipes to ensure quality and consistency
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of recipe unit conversions and garde manger skills
  • take direction well and communicate effectively with team members
  • manage assigned station maintaining a neat, clean, and organized back-of-house area
  • exercise quick problem-solving skills to resolve any kitchen issues
  • assist in the preparation and presentation of pastry items
  • contribute to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
