Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government affairs or public policy
- Experience with state and local government relations
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel up to 40 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields
- Direct experience working with or within state and local governments, particularly in transportation or infrastructure sectors
- Strong project management skills with proven success leading cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated experience managing consultants, partnerships, or interagency collaborations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively across disciplines
Job Duties
- Develop and execute government engagement strategies across priority East Coast regions
- Build and maintain relationships with state and local elected officials, transportation agencies, and community leaders
- Monitor legislation, regulatory activity, and policy trends relevant to Joby’s business interests
- Coordinate meetings, briefings, and site visits with public officials and key stakeholders
- Contribute to policy analysis, briefing materials, and presentations
- Collaborate across Joby teams including air operations, business development, marketing and communications, and legal
- Represent Joby at key events, association meetings, conferences, and public forums
- Serve as project manager for Joby’s eIPP application to the FAA
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, task tracker, and submission timeline
- Coordinate inputs across engineering, policy, legal, finance, operations, and executive leadership teams
- Support partnership formation for public-private collaborations
- Compile and assemble all application materials ensuring compliance with FAA requirements
- Provide weekly written progress reports and bi-weekly executive briefings
- Deliver a complete internal draft of the application and ensure final submission by deadlines
