- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment
- Treat customers and employees in a fair and ethical manner
- Promote an inclusive work environment and be a responsible community member
- Provide the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing
- Demonstrate company core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety
- Answer customer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store
- Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer requests using proper equipment
- Offer product samples to customers and inform them of coffee shop specials
- Use all equipment in coffee shop such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers and ovens according to company guidelines
- Check product quality to ensure freshness
- adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents and all safety risks, issues or illegal activity
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs and/or older adults
