Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment

- Answer customer questions regarding products within the department and store
- Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries
- Collaborate with associates to achieve company and store goals
- Prepare beverage selections according to recipes and customer requests
- Tender transactions using company best practices
- Offer product samples to customers and inform about coffee shop specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Recommend coffee shop items to customers
- Use coffee shop equipment including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, espresso machines, blenders, scales, and steamers
- Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality for freshness and review sell-by dates
- Follow safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs needed
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to department manager
- Stay updated on seasonal and special ads
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents and safety risks
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
