Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Physical ability to stand and perform duties for extended periods
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Previous comparable experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit
  • Treat customers and employees in a fair and ethical manner, promoting an inclusive work environment
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety
  • Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer's requests using proper equipment
  • Tender transactions using company best practices
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products
  • Inform customers of coffee shop specials
  • Provide customers with fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
  • Recommend coffee shop items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need
  • Use all equipment in coffee shop such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines
  • Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates
  • Properly use kitchen equipment including espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer
  • Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and all safety risks or illegal activity
  • Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
