Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment
- Treat customers and employees in a fair and ethical manner promoting an inclusive work environment
- Provide the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing
- Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store
- Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer's requests using proper equipment
- Tender transactions using company best practices
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products and inform customers of specials
- Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Recommend coffee shop items to customers to ensure they get what they want and need
- Use all equipment in coffee shop such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines
- Prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates
- Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify management of repairs
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity
- Work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
