Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to operate kitchen and coffee shop equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
  • Must be able to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment
  • Treat customers and employees fairly and ethically
  • Promote an inclusive work environment
  • Provide the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing
  • Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer's requests using proper equipment
  • Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials
  • Use and maintain coffee shop equipment according to company guidelines
  • Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company goals
  • Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
  • Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
