Job Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to handle physical requirements of the job such as standing for long periods

Job Duties

  • Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
  • Use equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines
  • Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to department manager
  • Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment needing repair
  • Report customer or employee accidents and safety risks
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs or older adults
