Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage supervision or related hospitality roles
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of local liquor and health regulations
  • Ability to work long hours and perform medium physical work
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
  • Customer service orientation with courteous attitude

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with at least 3 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree with 4 or more years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • Understanding of health department rules and liquor laws
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen and clarify concerns
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Service-oriented and friendly demeanor
  • Attendance at required meetings and trainings
  • Ability to participate in manager on duty coverage

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times
  • Supervise and manage all food and beverage personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Participate in food and beverage budget, forecasting, and monitor department performance
  • Monitor industry trends to maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • Coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the food and beverage department
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual department inventories and prepare reports
  • Organize and conduct regular department meetings
  • Monitor quality of service and products
  • Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure timely purchase of items within budget
  • Oversee employee cafeteria operations
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure departmental compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Train staff on procedures, report preparation, and technical tasks
  • Attend and conduct departmental and hotel training
  • Interview and select candidates for food and beverage positions
  • Conduct and attend required meetings including pre-convention and post-convention
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
