Job Requirements
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Must be able to do simple addition and subtraction
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Must be able to write identifying information
- Must be able to request supplies orally or in writing
- Must be able to perform medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Must have visual acuity including clarity of vision at distances more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy products, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests
- Answers the telephone and takes customer orders
- Takes customer orders at the counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handles food safely and ensures the work area is always clean and neat
- Reviews freshness and appearance of foods
- Ensures adequate food supply is ready and on hand
- Follows or develops production lists
- Anticipates product needs daily
- Prepares and replenishes products as necessary
- Checks in products, puts products away, may review invoices
- Runs department registers and handles payments
- Removes trash promptly
- Maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
- Washes dishes as necessary
- Orders products and supplies
- Prices products for customers
- Assists in other areas as needed
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
