Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or retail environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for long shifts
- Ability to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
- Basic food safety knowledge or willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments
- Capability to operate point-of-sale systems and handheld scanning devices
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory
- Must be able to comply with Target and Starbucks safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Skill in resolving guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Capability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with reliable attendance
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments ranging from 34F to -10F
- Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be present
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
Job Duties
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing quality handcrafted beverages and food
- Uphold and maintain execution of Food and Beverage, Starbucks brand, and food safety standards
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, pulls, stocking, zoning, instocks, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, defect handling, signing, and backstock
- Maintain awareness of all Starbucks promotional activities
- Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver consistent guest experiences, ensuring food safety and operational efficiency
- Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and timely
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout operational hours
- Engage guests to exceed expectations based on Starbucks standards
- Produce items following production cards and specific department routines
- Monitor and record temperature-sensitive items according to best practices
- Complete all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined by best practice
- Follow proper packaging and labeling guidelines for food products
- Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items
- Ensure accurate in-stock levels by placing store-initiated orders
- Follow perishable inventory procedures for accurate records
- Execute sampling best practices
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
- Observe guest body language and verbal clues to tailor interactions
- Engage guests genuinely by asking questions to understand their needs
- Be knowledgeable of store products and services to resolve guest issues
- Thank guests sincerely and make them feel appreciated
- Complete all required Starbucks quality control training
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
- Work safely to identify and correct hazards and comply with safety policies
- Support additional guest services like back-up cashier, order pick up, and drive-up, ensuring compliance with adult beverage laws
- Perform all other duties as assigned based on business needs
