Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service including taking customer orders
- Takes customer orders at the counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handles food in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area
- Reviews the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Ensures adequate food supply is ready and follows production lists
- Anticipates product needs daily
- Prepares and replenishes products
- Checks in product, puts product away and may review invoices
- Runs department registers and processes payments where applicable
- Removes trash promptly
- Maintains personal hygiene and dress standards
- Adheres to company policies and reports to work on time
