Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- must have visual clarity of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, including color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
- must be able to perform activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- must be punctual and reliable
- must adhere to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- employment contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- able to do simple addition and subtraction

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions or requests, and enhancing the shopping experience
- answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- takes customer orders at the counter
- works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- handles food safely and ensures the work area is clean and neat
- reviews the status and appearance of food for freshness
- ensures an adequate food supply is ready and on hand following a production list
- anticipates product needs daily
- prepares and replenishes products as necessary
- checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices
- runs department registers and receives payment where applicable
- removes trash in a timely manner
- maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines
- reports to work when scheduled and on time
