Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- physical ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- capability to perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- availability to work night and weekend shifts
- adherence to personal hygiene and dress standards
- must pass pre-employment drug screening

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service including taking orders
- takes customer orders at the counter
- works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
- handles food safely and maintains a clean, neat work area
- reviews status and appearance of food for freshness
- ensures adequate food supply is ready and follows production list
- anticipates product needs daily
- prepares and replenishes product
- checks in product, puts it away, and may review invoices
- runs department registers and processes payments, makes change
- removes trash timely
- maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- adheres to company policies and reports to work timely
- washes dishes as necessary
- orders products and supplies
- prices products as necessary
- assists in other store areas as needed
- performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
