Job Requirements

  • Must be able to physically perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must have clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet
  • Must have color vision, depth perception and field of vision
  • Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Must adhere to company policies and store guidelines
  • Must maintain strict personal hygiene and dress standards
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school or equivalent experience
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
  • Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests
  • Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service including taking customer orders
  • Take customer orders at the counter
  • Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Handle food in a safe manner and maintain a clean work area
  • Review food freshness and ensure adequate food supply
  • Prepare and replenish product as necessary
  • Check in product, put product away and review invoices
  • Run registers and manage payments where applicable
  • Remove trash in a timely manner
  • Maintain adherence to dress and hygiene guidelines
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled
  • Wash dishes as necessary
  • Order product and supplies
  • Price products for customers
  • Assist in other store areas as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
