Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must have clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet
- Must have color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Must adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Must maintain strict personal hygiene and dress standards
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food in a safe manner and maintain a clean work area
- Review food freshness and ensure adequate food supply
- Prepare and replenish product as necessary
- Check in product, put product away and review invoices
- Run registers and manage payments where applicable
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain adherence to dress and hygiene guidelines
- Report to work on time and as scheduled
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order product and supplies
- Price products for customers
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
