Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- must have visual ability with clarity of vision, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- must be willing to work night and weekend shifts
- employment contingent on successful pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smile and greet customers in a friendly manner regardless of location
- make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
- answer telephone promptly and take customer orders
- take customer orders at the counter
- work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- handle food safely and maintain a clean and neat work area
- review food status and appearance for freshness
- ensure an adequate food supply is ready and follow a production list
- anticipate daily product needs
- prepare and replenish products as necessary
- check in products and put them away
- run department registers and handle payments where applicable
- remove trash in a timely manner
- maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- follow company policies and individual store guidelines
- report to work on time and as scheduled
